Sapa Muong Hoa Valley, the picture square area

Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Topas Ecolodge (13 km trekking, 5-6 hour trekking)

Arrive in Lao Cai around 5:30 a.m. We will take 1 hour van ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa tours. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Upon arrival Sapa town, we have buffet breakfast at the hotel and then we will commence the excursion today with a walk through the town of Sapa and along a dirt trail through vegetable gardens and rice paddy terraces. The spectacular scenery of Muong Hoa valley gradually appears within your eyesight. We will then reach the river running at the bottom of the valley and continue the walk on the bank ot the river.

We eventually arrive in Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority, where you will take a rest and have lunch at a nice spot. After lunch we walk from Lao Chai to Giang Ta Chai through Ta Van of Dzay and Red Dzao tribes is almost on the hillsides. The view of the valley is more and more extending and stretching to the horizon. We take a stop at Tavan village to visit a local house, before following the trail through bamboo forest to go to Giang Ta Chai villagef where you can swim in the summer time. From Giang Ta Chai we will take a transfer to Topas Ecolodge. Here you will check in to your bungalow and enjoy the view into the valley and dotted mountain surroundings.
