Day 1: Lao Cai – Can Cau market (Saturday) – Bac Ha town.
Arriving at Lao Cai train station around 5 am in the morning, you are welcomed by Viet and have breakfast at the local restaurant before being driven to Can Cau Market which is about 90km from Lao Cai. Your journey will take you through mountainous border area between Vietnam and China. Can Cau is a small but very colorful market where you can meet Flower Hmong, Nung, Tay, Phu La mountain tribes.

Taking place only on Saturday, it always delivers a very photogenic display of ethnic costume. After spending about 2 hours to explore the market, you are driven back Bac Ha town to check in your hotel, have lunch and relax before having a short walk about 7km to visit Ban Pho village which is the home to Flower Hmong, here you can see how the tribe people make rice and corn wine as well as clothes. Coming back hotel by car, you have dinner at the local restaurant before watching local performance for 1 hour. Overnight at Sao Mai hotel in Bac Ha.
Day 2: Bac Ha market (Sunday) – Trung Do village – Sapa.
Having buffet breakfast at the hotel before you spend 2 hour walking around the most colorful market in Vietnam where you can see how the tribe people exchange the local products. Having lunch at the local restaurant and then we walk about 1km to visit the Hmong King Palace which was built more than 100 year ago. Our driver will pick us up here and transfer to Trung Do village to meet the Tay tribe who is considered the most intelligent tribe in Vietnam.
Day 2: Bac Ha market (Sunday) – Trung Do village – Sapa.
Having buffet breakfast at the hotel before you spend 2 hour walking around the most colorful market in Vietnam where you can see how the tribe people exchange the local products. Having lunch at the local restaurant and then we walk about 1km to visit the Hmong King Palace which was built more than 100 year ago. Our driver will pick us up here and transfer to Trung Do village to meet the Tay tribe who is considered the most intelligent tribe in Vietnam.
Walking about 3 km along the village and coming into some native houses to study their own culture and custom, we will get the boat at the end of village to travel along Chay River to experience the picturesque landscape and magnificent sights along the river. After the boat trip, we will go to see international Vietnam – China border by car before being transferred to Sapa. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa town.
Day 3: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Tavan villages.
After having breakfast, we have a short walk of 5km along mountain trail to visit Y Linh Ho village which is inhabited by black Hmong tribe and completely secluded from tourists, especially you are able to embrace raw Sapa culture and community by coming into some native houses to discover their own culture and custom as well as study how the local tribe make handicraft from natural materials such as: hemp, indigo…ect. Continuing to walk down Muong Hoa River where you can take a rest or swim before trekking uphill to Lao Chai village where your picnic lunch will be served. After lunch, you will visit the Day and Red Dzao tribes of Tavan village, which lies in the middle of Muong Hoa valley and then we climb to the main road to get our car back to Sapa. You will have shower and dinner before going to train station to catch the night train to Hanoi.
